Have you ever noticed when talking to a real estate agent, they refer to y our purchase as a "home." But if you are selling, they will often refer to it as a "house." There is a reason for this. Buying real estate is an emotional decision, but when selling real estate, you need to remove the emotion from the picture.
You need to think of your house as a commodity. Property. Real Estate. You want others to view it as their home, not yours. If you don't consciously do this, it may take longer to sell your home.
The first step to getting your home ready to sell is to "de-personalize" it.
